A + A Engaged | Barnegat Light NJ Engagement

Someone once told me that life take us to unexpected places, but love always brings us home. Well, this gorgeous engagement session at Barnegat Light sure did bring me home and is the perfect example of why that was one of the truest statements made! The minute i laid my eyes on these two and Autumn’s stunning red gown I was instantly jaw dropped. This couple paired with the seashore location of my hometown at sunset was the perfect combination to make it the most romantic shore photo shoot ever.

Located on the north end of Long Beach Island, Barnegat Light is one of the most unique places on the island and one of my personal favorite spots from where I grew up. Known for its quaint and peaceful environment, Barnegat Light boasts the widest beaches on LBI, one of the busiest commercial seafood ports on the East Coast, and also where Autumn grew up – the Barnegat Lighthouse State Park. If you are looking for some gorgeous bay views, and beaches with open space, Barnegat Light is the perfect fit!

Not every bride can have a engagement at the beach, and there are a lot of ways to be creative in your own environment. This couple went all out for their session. Who knew Formal attire could be so amazing in a Beachy setting? They brought the perfect amount of elegance to the shore. For years I’ve wanted to do a sunset shoot at the Barnegat Light House, and this shoot was everything I’d hoped it would be. True, we were discouraged a tiny bit because the weather was iffy, but it was oh so worth it. The sun crept out from behind the lighthouse, making the sky hazy. It was truly an incredible evening with an incredible couple. I want couples to be inspired by this real engagement session, and to realize that they can also do something like this.
