Spring Wedding at the Pleasantdale Château
I’ve had the pleasure of shooting a ton of different love stories. While many of them are beautiful and uniquely special, today I am so excited to be sharing Brittany & Tyler’s gorgeous Spring wedding at the Pleasantdale Château. While the details that came together made this day so beautiful, the grounds and venue also helped in making B+T’s wedding day vision become a reality.
Brittany & Tyler’s Love Story
Brittany and Tyler met almost 10 years ago at a high school hockey game. After glancing over at each other several times throughout the night, their love connection slowly but surely began to grow. Shortly after, Tyler reached out through mutual friends, and Brittany and Tyler’s relationship started to flourish. Enjoying activities like fishing at the lake, heading to their favorite concerts, and eating some dang good hibachi, they knew that this was only the beginning of their love story.
Fast forward to October 2020, it was peak pandemic. Just a few days before Halloween, Brittany and Tyler decided to head to a pumpkin patch to find the perfect pumpkins for carving. What Brittany didn’t know is that she would be leaving that pumpkin patch with a fiancé! Tyler got down on one knee and popped the question and without hesitation, Brittany said yes. The rest was history and through months of wedding planning, their dream wedding finally came to be.
Pleasantdale Château
The Pleasantdale Château is a beautiful New Jersey wedding venue located on 40 acres of gardens, woodlands, meadows, and ponds. This luxurious estate offers history, character, charm, and privacy for any couple. Since the space is so large, you truly feel like you’re in your own world with so much privacy. The Pleasantdale Chateau is a luxury wedding venue that does not disappoint. Upon entering the historic estate located on the property, you’re greeted with 17th-century tile floor, limestone columns, and crystal chandeliers. The Pleasantdale Château is actually one of my top favorite wedding venues in New Jersey for so many different reasons. Of course because of its beauty, but all of its amazing amenities as well. I talk more about my favorite wedding venues in this blog here!
Some amenities included when you have your wedding at Pleasantdale Château are:
-
35 ft ceilings located inside their wedding chapel

Spring Wedding at the Pleasantdale Château
For their wedding day, Brittany and Tyler really wanted to focus on the candid and authentic moments that happened throughout the entire day. While they also love the artistic and creative captures, they wanted to make sure that when they looked back on such a special moment that they remembered all the emotions that came with it.
Getting Ready & Detail Photos
We started off the morning with Brittany and Tyler getting ready in the Bridal and Groom Suites located at their wedding venue. All wedding packages with CSP come with 2 photographers on your wedding day. A second photographer is seen as a must in our eyes solely because it gives the opportunity to capture every single moment. While I was with Brittany getting ready with her bridesmaids, our second photographer was able to be with Tyler and his groomsmen in his suite. Second photographers are great to get different angles and capture other moments that the lead photographer (aka me) is not able to get. It honestly is a win-win for both of us!
During the getting ready process, it’s my job to capture as many wedding details as possible. I typically suggest having all of your wedding details gathered together prior to your wedding photographer arriving. That way no one is scrambling to find all of your details and we don’t have to worry about bothering you mid-glam! Some items to include for wedding detail photos are:
-
Veil
-
Perfume or Cologne
-
Invitation Suite
-
Florals and/or Trimmings
-
All Three Rings
-
Save The Dates
-
Hairpieces
-
Jewelry
Make sure that you have a designated box/area where you keep all of these items, so as soon as your wedding photographer arrives they can get started creating some magic!
First Looks
So first looks have grown more and more popular over the years. While some couples choose to keep it traditional and wait for the ceremony, Brittany & Tyler wanted to soak up every minute that they could. First, after slipping into her Calla Blanche dress, Brittany did a first look with her bridesmaids. Shortly after, Brittany met up with her dad in the main foyer of the Pleasantdale Château. It’s typically during these moments that I try to be as invisible as possible to give a little bit of privacy - hey I try!
It wasn’t long until the moment finally came for us to meet up with Tyler for the final first look. Located inside the venue there is a beautiful botanical garden which is where Brittany and Tyler met for the last time as fiancés. As you could imagine, this definitely was an emotional one. While I could go more in-depth, I think I’ll let the photos speak for this one.
Pleasantdale Château Wedding Portraits
As mentioned before, the Pleasantdale Château has some AMAZING photo opportunities so naturally, we had to utilize well… all of them. The estate is so uniquely designed that every space is structured differently which makes you feel like you’re being transported to a different location every time. It added some amazing variety especially when it came to their wedding portraits which I LOVED.
Now I know that posing in front of the camera can seem incredibly nerve-wracking and scary. Especially if you’ve never taken professional photos before, this can be super daunting. For some tips on how to feel comfortable in front of the camera, check out this blog here where I deep dive a little bit further!
Ceremony & Reception
Later that evening it was time for Brittany and Tyler’s ceremony! The inside ceremony space was decorated with beautiful flowing curtains and some STUNNING florals from Dalsimer Spitz and Peck. Let’s just say luxury & elegance were really making their appearance. The ceremony was filled with so much love, light, and laughter and you could just feel all the love supporting this beautiful union. Ugh, someone bring me a box of tissues ASAP!
After a relaxing cocktail hour, Brittany & Tyler made their grand entrance as husband and wife at their reception. We enjoyed some first dances, some incredibly touching speeches, and some phenomenal cake before signing off for the night.
Brittany & Tyler were some of the kindest and most genuine people I have ever met. I feel honored to have captured such beauty and will forever cherish capturing these memories for them. Cheers to B+T!!!
So you’ve made it all the way down here - woohoo! This Spring Wedding at the Pleasantdale Château was one that I will never forget. If you enjoyed reading this one, then check out this blog here!
