Pennsylvania Wedding Venue | The Loch Aerie Mansion
As a wedding photographer I get to photograph in so many beautiful venues. From gorgeous outdoor wedding venues like farms and resorts to indoor locations and palaces, trust me I have seen a LOT! However, there is one in particular that has always stood out to me as unique and different. Not only that, but it is an entirely family run business in Pennsylvania. Ladies and gentlemenâĻ I present to you, the Loch Aerie Mansion.
The History
Originally built in 1865, this gorgeous victorian mansion has since expanded, renovated and grown throughout the years to be the beauty that it is today. This gorgeous mansion is located in Chester County, Pennsylvania and has gorgeous views over the Chester Valley. The mansion embodies an Italianate Gothic Revival type essence but still holds so much grace with hitâs beautiful picturesque gardens. The Loch Aerie Mansion is the perfect blend of history and architectural elegance which can make any heart swoon. Inside you can find a gorgeous ballroom which was designed to preserve the detail of the original home, but with a modern twist.

On the day that these photos were taken below, we actually had scheduled a styled shoot. With so many contributions from vendors, we were able to really show off this venue and the power it holds for your next wedding/event.
Bridal Suite
We first started off in the bridal suite, where we were surrounded by so much natural light and gorgeous decor. There was a gorgeous black fireplace along with candles with brass candle holders and a large mirror for our bride to get ready. This is the perfect suite to have a mix of elegance and still get those cozy & relaxing vibes that are definitely a must have on your wedding day.
The Parlor
We then moved into the Parlor where we were greeted with more beautiful artwork, greenery and stunning architecture. It is the perfect size for a small wedding ceremony or a cocktail reception. It even has high ceilings and arched windows that give such a dramatic and elegant look. Throughout the home you will find a common theme of these small details that may seem insignificant to some, but really make the entire space come together.
Outdoor Space
Next, we made our way outside for some more portraits of the bride and groom. Now when I tell you my jaw dropped when I saw how well this space photographedâĻ I couldnât believe it. It is giving me very much Addams Family vibes, anyone else?? Either way, the outdoor architecture of this mansion speaks for itself and really speaks to those gothic elegant vibes that some of us have come to loveâĻ me included *wink*.
Entry Hall & Staircase
I also have to give a small shoutout to the entryway and staircase. Right as you walk into the Loch Aerie Mansion you will notice the gorgeous black stairway that honestly makes for a stunning backdrop for your wedding photos. It makes for the PERFECT grand entrance into your ceremony, and you most certainly will make a statement.
The Loch Aerie Mansion also has a gorgeous billiard and dining rooms which make for the perfect space for small weddings or cocktail receptions. A common reoccurrence is you will find that this home has so much light throughout which makes photographing any wedding such a breeze. It also makes the images come out THAT much better, which is always a bonus.
This family owned business is unlike any other that Iâve seen in a very long time. The Poirierâs who own this gorgeous mansion are so hands on and is an experience that you wonât get with a lot of traditional wedding venues. From beginning to end, they are there throughout the entire experience and you can tell how involved they are in this passion project of theirs. What once was just a beautiful home has grown to be something so much more.
